Currently we're not looking for apprentice positions or new tattoo artist positions. Although, if you are looking to get into the tattoo business there are a few things to consider. Most people who learn to tattoo go through an apprenticeship where they are taken under another artist's wing to learn how to tattoo, how to sterilize and avoid cross-contamination, and how to talk to customers. Also, most people who get into it already know others who are themselves tattoo artists. Usually there is a fee involved to apprentice anywhere from $5,000 and up. And that doesn't always guarantee you a job after your apprenticeship is over. Whether you're able to get into a shop or not, remember, it's better to wait to get in somewhere than to run a tattoo "business" out of your house or apartment. People who tattoo out of their living space usually don't realize that it's so easy to contaminate the surroundings. There are many pourous surfaces in people's homes and it's just not overall sanitary nor professional. Artists that want to go somewhere and be respected and recognized as a good professional artist don't want their reputations tainted by doing tattoos at the home.
